Materials & Quality
At MONOZO, jewellery is designed for everyday Indian wear — pieces that look premium, feel light, and stay wearable without constant polishing. This page explains the materials and quality standards behind our anti-tarnish collection.
Core materials
- Stainless steel base — durable, skin-friendly for most wearers, and built for daily use.
- 18K gold plating — a rich gold finish over the steel base for that premium look at an accessible price.
- Anti-tarnish coating — applied so colour and shine last longer with normal care (see our Jewellery Care page).
- Cubic zirconia (CZ) & select lab-grown accents — sparkle without mined-diamond pricing. Where lab-grown diamonds are used, we disclose that on the product page.
What “anti-tarnish” means at MONOZO
Most MONOZO pieces are crafted with an anti-tarnish finish so they keep their look through office days, travel, and light water exposure. With proper care, shine stays intact longer and colour fade is minimised. No jewellery is indestructible — harsh chemicals, bleach, and long perfume soaks still reduce plating life.
Waterproof vs copper pieces
Our stainless-steel / gold-plated everyday jewellery is designed to handle hand-washing and light water. Copper kada and copper jewellery are not waterproof and need extra care — keep them dry and wipe after wear.
